Timothy Albert Jones

It is with profound sadness that the family of Timothy Albert Jones, a beloved father, announces his passing. Timothy left us on December 13, 2024, at the age of 76. He passed in St. Louis University Hospital from respiratory arrest due to cardiovascular disease.

Born in Olney, Illinois on August 13, 1948, and resided in Louisville, Illinois.

Timothy is preceded in death by his sisters: Alice Jones; Juanita Slunaker; Loretta Mitchell; brothers: Harrison Jr. “Sonny” Jones; Steven Jones; and Kendal Jones. He is survived by his only child, Allisa Jones, granddaughter Isabella Vaughn, last living sibling, Janice Kern, and many nieces and nephews.

Timothy was most proud of his time spent in the Air Force, his work as a deputy sheriff, his historical research accomplishments, artistic pursuits, and playing Santa Claus for his local community.

He was a man of great character, strong values, generosity, immense humor, wisdom, creativity, warmth, and more than anything he was a loving and devoted father.

A graveside service and performance of military rites will be held at Maple Dale cemetery in Olney, IL on April 12th, 2025 at 11 AM.
