Rusty Lee Totten

Rusty Lee Totten, 46, of Olney, IL, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Rusty was born November 8, 1978, the son of Bobby Totten and Karen Lee (Newton) Totten.

Rusty graduated from West Richland High School in 1997. He worked for Fosters, Hardees, Olney IGA, Shultz Oil Company driving a truck and drove tractors for many local farmers. He also worked for several local plumbers and for Travco Motorsports. He then became a licensed plumber and started his own business for 13 years until returning to Pampe Plumbing.

Rusty enjoyed spending time with his four amazing kids: Austin, Katelyn, Carson and Mason. He was a prankster, loved time at Borah Lake with his family & friends. He always enjoyed chowder time with family, loved Motocross, vintage cars, working on and riding dirt bikes & ATVs.

He enjoyed leisure time on his new back porch, grilling out and working on projects out in his shop. He was kind, loved to talk, loved his hats, loved giving his nephews and nieces a hard time and enjoyed watching Clint Eastwood, Burt Reynolds & Jim Carrey movies. He was one of a Kind! The world will be a little quieter without him in it, he will forever be missed.

He is survived by his son, Austin Totten of Noble; daughter, Katelyn Totten of Noble; son, Carson Totten of Noble; and son, Mason Totten of Noble; parents, Bob and Karen Totten of Noble; siblings, Tami Engel and husband Chris of Olney and Josh Totten and wife Meagan of Noble; and nieces and nephews, Mariah, Cru, Gage, Brandon, Bryan, Chase, Charlee, Charity, Morgan, Kiersten, Angel, and Christian.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Don and Mina Newton; paternal grandparents Lee and Carmen Totten and Goldie and Don Ridgely, and several aunts and uncles, and beloved friend, Kerry Brown.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.

Cremation Rites were accorded, no services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home to aid with expenses.
