Rose worked as a bookkeeper for Anderson Oil, and eventually became a caretaker for Frank Anderson and his wife. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Hahn Automotive Sales. She spent many years taking care of the elderly, whether they were friends, family, or neighbors.
