Ronald James "Slim" Collins was born on August 28, 1946 in Lawrence, MA, the son of Frank Collins and Agnes (Doucette). He married Doiletta Tarr on April 16, 1972 in Los Angeles, CA. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and has also worked as a police officer in Robinson, IL and as a corrections officer in Joliet, IL. He was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. Ronald is survived by his wife, Doiletta "Dot" Collins of Noble; son, Ronald (Champ) Collins and wife Saundra of Noble; Daugther, Rheta Earp and husband Stephen of Noble; Daughter, Rachel Cook and husband Nathan of Flora, IL; Son-in-law, Marty Miller of Noble; Mother-in-law, Rheta Tarr of Olney; Uncle, John Hamilton of Olney; Sisters, Ruth Warosh of Denver, CO and Susan Willis of Clarksville, TN; Sisters-in-law, Pamela Adams, Elsie Cooley and Robin Billberry; Brother-in-law, Rodney Tarr; Grandsons, Coty Collins, James Bailey and Ronald Collins II; Stepgrandchildren, Aaron, Devon, Nathan, Melinda and Dakota and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank, mother, Agnes, stepfather, Wesley Allen (who raised him from a very young age), father-in-law, Doyal Tarr and two brothers-in-law.
