Rachel Ann Gammon

Rachel Gammon, 77, of Olney, passed away October 1, 2024 in Urbana, IL.

Rachel Gammon was born June 11, 1947 in Lodi, OH to parents, George M. Lorentz and Charlotte (Zigler). She married Robert Gammon on February 28, 1967 in McMurray, PA.

Rachel worked as an award winning Avon Representative for 31 years. She enjoyed music, especially Gospel music like the Gaithers, and was a member of the Hand Bell Choir at her church.

Rachel liked to knit, do needle-point, and play cards with her family. She took pleasure in going to craft shows and picking out Christmas gifts.

Rachel is survived by husband, Bob Gammon of Olney, IL; son, Seth Gammon of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; daughter, Gwen (Mark) Brassfield of Quincy, IL; daughter, Michelle Gammon of Olney; grandchildren, James (fiancee Shayla Bockmann) Brassfield, Madison Brassfield, and Andrew Gammon; and one great grandchild on the way.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary M. Lorentz.

A Memorial Service for Rachel will be held on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 at 1:00 PM at First Methodist Church in Olney.
