Phyllis Ann (Shaffer) Fehrenbacher

Phyllis Ann (Shaffer) Fehrenbacher, 79, of Olney, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Helia Healthcare of Olney.

Phyllis was born April 29, 1945 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Phillip and Doris Imogene (Cummins) Shaffer. She married Tommie Dean Fehrenbacher on February 25, 1967 in Olney, and he survives.

Phyllis was a selfless woman, who dedicated her life to God, her family, and her community. She brought joy to those around her through her infectious smile, fellowship, and chocolate chip cookies. Her family adored her as their matriarch, and her memory will be a constant source of inspiration.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Tommie Dean Fehrenbacher; children, Margo (William) Alexander, Morgan Fehrenbacher, and Micah (Karen Rugh) Fehrenbacher; grandchildren, Mac Alexander, Zoe Alexander, Jude Alexander, Mary Fehrenbacher, and Anna Fehrenbacher; sisters, Jeanne Kay (Bud) Brinkman, Karen (Donnie) Thatcher; brother, Keith (Susan) Shaffer.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held for Phyllis at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Elm Street Christian Church. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life for friends and family at the Olney Parkside Events (Next to Best Western Plus, 367 N West St, Olney, IL 62450).

A private family interment will take place at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney.
