Patsy "Pat" Jones

Patsy Jones 88, of Champaign, IL. passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

She was born on February 15, 1936, in Olney, IL. the daughter of Lawrence and Gladys Bateman. They preceded her in death.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Bob, her sister, Sheri (Jerry) Vandergriff, children; Jill (Robert) Hasty, Amy Kappesser, grandchildren; Katherine Blas, Danielle (Anthony) Denney, Nicholas Hasty, Colleen Kidd, Erin (Cameron) Elliott, Kellie (Travis) Applegate, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Patsy enjoyed cooking, reading, genealogy, traveling, and spending time with her family. She worked several jobs throughout the years, but she will be remembered for being a selfless mother and wife. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her brothers; Keith and Larry Bateman and sister; Nancy Fritschle.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 1-3 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, IL (205 E Elm St, Olney, IL 62450).

Per the family's request, casual attire is encouraged.
