Misti Ann (Ulm) Donathan, 44, of Olney, IL, passed away January 7, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.
Misti was born on March 24, 1980 in Olney, IL to parents, Charles "Chuck" Ulm and Mary Ann (Judy) Ulm. She married Robert Donathan and he survives.
Misti was a 1998 graduate of West Richland High School and went on to graduate from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor's degree. She then returned to Richland County and worked for several different social work organizations. In the past few years she has worked as a substitute teacher and volunteered for the Junior Football League as a cheerleading coach.
Misti was fiercely competitive and had a passion for all sports and games. She not only loved participating in sports and many fun activities, but she also loved cheering on her family and friends in their endeavors. As a student she not only was in band, but she also participated in track, softball, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and cross country. She was also very supportive of her family and attended as many sporting events of her children, nieces and nephews as she could. She was once a volleyball coach at Jasper West Junior High and led them to the State finals. The sport she enjoyed the most was running. She ran numerous races, including the Boston Marathon and many years of the River to River relay. What Misti enjoyed most was the camaraderie of the running community.
Misti was a member of the Glenwood Church in Noble and she attended the church her entire life.
Misti had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. She easily made friends and was welcoming to everyone. Misti touched the lives of so many and will be tremendously missed.
Misti is survived by her husband, Robert Donathan of Olney; son, Rolen Hinterscher of Noble; daughter, Joslyn Hinterscher of Noble; step-daughter, Adelyn Donathan of Mt. Zion, IL; father, Chuck Ulm of Noble; brothers, Rob (Tanille) Ulm of Charleston, IL and Ryan (Keri) Ulm of Newton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Ulm.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 03:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney.
Funeral Services will be held on at Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney.
Interment will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Crest Haven Memorial Park.
Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.
