Marilyn Bromm, 90, of Olney, IL, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Marilyn was born November 3, 1934 in Olney, IL to parents, Gene and Noma (Hall) Kermicle. She married Ralph Bromm on November 7, 1954, he survives.
Marilyn's gift was cooking. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, church funeral dinners, baking holiday goodies, and bringing food to people who were sick and those who just had babies.
She enjoyed gospel music and sang in a quartet, The Harmonaires, where they performed at churches and events.
Marilyn attended church at Immanuel United Methodist Church and was a lifelong member of the Mt. Gilead Church in Olney where she taught Sunday School to children for several decades.
Marilyn was blessed to have a full and rich life, and her family and friends will be celebrating with her.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 70+ years, Ralph Bromm of Olney; daughter, Nancy Morris and husband Jackie of Olney; son, Bruce Bromm and wife Cathy of Olney; daughter, Julie Rusk and husband Randy of Dundas; daughter, Carol VanBlaricum and husband Brian of Noble; grandchildren, Molly (Kenny) Volk, Maggie (Mica) Rist, Rylan (Amy) Rusk, Hilary (Stephen) Cecil, Kristen (Nick) Kocher, Katie (Brandon) Bailey, Beau (Leah) VanBlaricum, Brock (Josie) VanBlaricum; step-grandchildren, Jackie (Angel) Morris Jr.; grand dog, Buster; great grandchildren, Emery, Ely, and Mia Rist, Turner Volk, Braeda and Madden Rusk, Jagger and Jett Cecil, Jaxon, Zoey, and Marley Kocher, Isla, Genevieve, and Annelise Bailey, Carter, Taylee, and Elsie VanBlaricum; step-great-grandchildren, Michaela (Caleb) Wilson and Adam (Laynee) Morris; step great-great-granddaughter, Hadley Oliver; brother, Jim (Margaret) Kermicle; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Doyle Kermicle, and infant sister, Marlene Kermicle.
Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney.
Interment will follow at Dundas Cemetery, Dundas, Il.
