Lloyd W. Crites

Lloyd Wayne Crites, 86, of Olney, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.

Lloyd was born on November 28, 1938, in Olney, Illinois, to Glenn and Laura (Groff) Crites. He married Blanche Ada (Boldrey) on November 28, 1957.

Lloyd was a faithful member of the Eureka Church of Christ and diligently served as an elder for many years.

Before his retirement, Lloyd was employed by AMF/Roadmaster and the East Richland School District, in addition to farming his family’s ground.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Blanche; his daughter Laura Maloy; daughter Cindy (Dale) Harlan; daughter Brenda (Kevin) Washburn; grandchildren Laureah (Danny) Jones; Brittney (Caleb) Smith; Briana (Corey) Jones; Mitchell (Rachel) Washburn; Dirk (Kelsey) Washburn; and Bailey Washburn. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and sister-in-law Juanita (Blondie) Crites.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Kenneth; infant sister Dolly; and granddaughter Lindy Best.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney is assisting the family with arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Eureka Church of Christ located at 2992 N. Wood River Road, Olney, with a visitation beginning one-hour prior to the service time at the church.
