Jo Ellen Anderson

Jo (Jodie) Ellen Anderson, age 85, passed away in Peoria, Illinois on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Jodie was born on November 25, 1938 to parents Lloyd and Gwen Hopkins in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Jodie Ellen worked at Midas Muffler for 20 years and several different jobs throughout her lifetime. She was a member of the Olney Church of the Nazarene.

Jodie always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. She was kind and compassionate, but she could be a joker at times.

Jodie loved spending as much time as she could with her family and friends. She was a teacher to all that would listen. Her hobbies were crocheting, taking care of as many animals as she could, and watching the Raiders play. Jodie also always loved being in the Community Choir. She always went above and beyond to make the holidays special.

Jodie is survived by her children James (Jolleen) Davis, William (Kathy) Davis, Thomas (Tammy) Davis, and Samuel (Caroline) Davis. Grandchildren: Aja, Dale, Ridge, Leland, Sueko, Chawn, Cherise, Chad, Chris, Jessica, Gene, and Jimmy. Jo has 19 great grandchildren. Step grandchildren: Chassidy, Crystal, Elizabeth, Robert, and Brandy. She has 8 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Sivage

There will be a Celebration of Life at Olney Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, October 19 , 2024 at 2:00 PM. Please dress casually.
