Jimmie D. Schweizer

Jimmie “Jim” Dean Schweizer, 69, of Olney, Illinois passed away at 1:28 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born March 22, 1955 in Olney, IL the son of Paul and Melva (Cotterell) Schweizer Schweizer.

Mr. Schweizer is survived by his brother, Dale (Janice) Schweizer of Salem, KY; niece Amy (Garrick) Ramage of Smithland, KY, and niece Ashley (Andrew) Hopper of Pendleton, IN; great-nephew Ethan Ramage of Smithland, KY, great-niece Emersyn Ramage of Smithland, KY and great-niece Catherine Hopper of Pendleton, IN; special friend and cousin Gwen Nickel-Reinhart of Carbondale, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Melva Schweizer.

Jim is a 1973 graduate of East Richland High School. He was a devoted farmer having grown up on the family farm.

A funeral service will be held for Jim at 1:00 PM on Friday, Feb 14, 2025 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with the visitation from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park in rural Claremont, IL.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
