James Loren Ring

October 17, 1930 — February 21, 2012

James Loren Ring was born on October 17, 1930 in Noble, Illinois the second son of Frank and Bessie Mildred (Hockman) Ring. He married Marian Callahan on June 4, 1949 in which his two children were born. He married Freida Long on May 6, 1967. He spent most of his life in the Noble/Olney area but lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for 23 years. He held a private pilot’s license and was fond of flying, hunting, fishing and camping. He was a former member of The Noble Lion’s Club and Olney-Noble Airport Board. He is survived by a daughter, Diana Brautigam and husband Terry of Washington, MO.; son, Richard Ring and wife Bonnie of Shelbyville, IN.; granddaughter, Jennifer Kocher and husband Leon of Ingraham, IL.; granddaughter Cathryn Brautigam of Washington, MO.; 3 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He will be sadly missed for his fondness of others and sense of humor that he maintained until his death.
