James Lee Middleton

James Lee Middleton, 79, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at his home.

Jim was born September 21, 1944 in Richland County, Illinois, the son of John Rollins "Raleigh" Middleton and Eleanor (Patterson) Middleton. He married Linda Joyce O'Dell on November 30, 1963 in Noble, Illinois. Linda preceded him in death on March 9, 2022.

Jim drove a truck for 40 years and loved to travel. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially hunting. Jim loved spending time with his family.

James Lee Middleton is survived by his daughter, Robin (Dan) Mullin; son, Frank (Renee) Middleton; daughter-in-law, Shannon Middleton; grandchildren, Mandie (Steve) Weiler, Adam (Jodi) Cox, Franki (Kirsten) Cox, Ethan Cox (June Hout), Ashton (Donovan) Dilly, Brooke Middleton, Destiny Middleton (Brandon Gilbert), Paige Middleton, Cody Rosskilley, and Cody (Rachel) Wilson; and twenty-two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh and Eleanor Middleton; daughter, Jama Cantrell; and three great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Jim will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 27, 2024 the home of his daughter, Robin.

Kistler Patterson Funeral Home in Olney is assisting the family with arrangements.
