Jackie E. "Jack" Wyatt, 87, of Olney, IL, passed away Friday, December 14, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
Jack was born October 13, 1937 in Edwards County, IL to Burlen Wyatt and Fern E. (Jenner) Wyatt. He married Sandra K. (Burgener) Wyatt on March 26, 1996.
Jack was always loved by his wife of 28 years, Sandra Kay Wyatt of Olney; his only son, Douglas Eugene Wyatt; step-daughter, Cindy Linder; sisters, the late Barbara Arteberry, Sandra Reid of Fairfield, IL, Nelda Madden of Effingham, and Darlene (Rodger) Clark of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Stephen (Cheyenne) Wyatt of TX; Austin (Ashley) Wyatt of Olney; Ashlyn (Ryder) Rios of Olney, Tylon Seward of IL; Lance Wilson of Taylorville, IL; Gage Linder of Taylorville; great grandchildren, Layci, Layne, Jaxson, Laikynn, Cayden, Braelynn, Rynley, Arwyn, Romeo, Rocky, Khia, Anhia, and several nieces and nephews.
Jack enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He took pleasure in fishing and taking nightly rides on his four-wheeler, what he called 'Deer Counting'. Jack was a lifetime member of the Local 150 Union, where he was a heavy equipment operator and worked in the Aurora, IL area.
He served his country in the US Army. Full Military Rites will be performed at the graveside.
Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg, Illinois.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
