Frieda A. Walker

Frieda A. Walker, 83, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital.

Frieda was born February 12, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Merle Jane Carter. She was later adopted by Talmadge L. "Red" and Dora Mae (Most) Moore. She married Gerald "Jerry" Walker on December 31, 1980 Olney, and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2019.

Frieda enjoyed doing hair, and she ran her home salon, 'Frieda's Salon' for many years. She loved her family very much, and she enjoyed gardening. Her home was filled with love and laughter. Frieda will dearly missed.

Frieda is survived by her grandchildren, Kylee Black of Olney, Korey (Abbey) Walker of Patoka, IL, Kolten (Kayla) Walker of Central City, IL, Benjamin Graham of Olney, Cort Graham of Olney, and Cheyenne Hubble of Olney; great grandchildren, Trace, Sarah, Matthew, Elizabeth, Charlie, Hudson, Kaine, Kellie, and Kopen; daughter, Karen Hulett; stepdaughter, Amanda Hubble of Olney; brothers, Donnie Carter and Jerry Carter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her daughter, Kelly Walker and her son-in-law, Keith Walker; great granddaughter, Hailey Jo Walker; son-in-law, Rodney Hulett; stepdaughter, Tiffany Walker; brothers, Larry and Dan Carter.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one-hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Forrest Ridge Cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois.
