Florine Antonette Weidner was born on May 7, 1922 at home in Clay County, Illinois, the daughter of Carl Buerster and Cecilia (Kuenstler). She married John "JV" Weidner on October 16, 1940 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1992. Mrs. Weidner was a retired cook for West Richland High School and a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Cross Ladies Organization. She loved spending time with her large family and she also enjoyed quilting, painting, gardening, and ceramics. She is survived by her son, John Weidner of Noble, IL; son, Harold Weidner of Effingham, IL; son, Henry Weidner of Noble, IL; son, Dale Weidner of Noble, IL; son, Myron Weidner of Louisville, IL; daughter, Judy Hemrich of Noble, IL; daughter, Marg Weidner of Noble, IL; daughter, Mary Jane Newton of Noble, IL; daughter, Betty Slover of Olney; daughter, Suzanna Travous of Olney; daughter, Annette Mosby of Olney; daughter, Lisa Weber of Olney; sisters, Virginia Steber of Olney and Mildred Hinterscher of Oblong, IL; 27 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, William and George Weidner, sisters, Marie Zwilling and Emma Weidner, brothers, Henry, Delbert, and Harold Buerster, grandson, Jason Weidner, and son-in-Law, Ronald Hemrich. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Cemetery.
