Donald "Wayne" Newton

Donald "Wayne" Newton, 77, of Noble, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

Wayne served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 -1970. He spent a big part of his life farming.

Per Wayne’s wishes, his body will be cremated with no services, and his ashes will be spread on his farm!

He enjoyed playing cards, reading his newspapers, doing crossword puzzles, watching football games, mushroom hunting and mushroom camp!

Wayne was born September 2, 1947 in Olney, IL to parents Donovan Newton and Mina Lois (Moseley). He married Mary Jane Weidner on July 29, 1967, and she survives.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; siblings, Karen (Bob) Totten, Sherry (Leon) Wilson, Kevin, Kenny, Charles, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Claws and Paws in Olney.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.
