Deloris Nix

Deloris Nix, 88, of Olney, Illinois, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Carle RMH.

Deloris was born January 21, 1936 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Guy and Viola (Boatman) Newman. She married Gerald V. Nix on April 24, 1957 in Bridgeport, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2007.

Deloris was a homemaker and worked with her husband on their small farm. She took pleasure in tending her garden and being around family.

Deloris is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Osterman of Centralia, IL; son, Harold Nix of Olney; and great grandson, Liam Dalton Osterman of Salem, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Nix; son-in-law, Mike Osterman; grandson, Dalton Osterman; and twin siblings, Marie and Maurice Newman.

A funeral service will be held for Deloris on Saturday, Dec 14th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney, with a visitation beginning one hour before service time at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.
