Deloris M. Blackford

Deloris M. Blackford, 90, of Olney, IL, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025 at her home.

Deloris was born November 21, 1934 in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of Raymond Ryker and Neenah (Culver) Ryker. She married Wayne Blackford on February 22, 1953 in Olney, and he survives.

Deloris enjoyed camping, RVing, fishing, and many other outdoor activities. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family, and she made the best sugar cookies for them. She was spunky and strong-willed, and always made sure dinner was on the table by 4:00. Deloris will be dearly missed.

Deloris is survived by her husband; son, Ronald Lee Blackford of Olney; brother, Dean Ryker of Seattle, WA; sister, Arlene Hahn of Dallas, TX; brother, Roger (Tina) Ryker of Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Angela (Dale) (Blackford) Tripp of Bartonville, IL, Doug (Ashley) Blackford of Washington, IL, Greg (Amy) Blackford of Bartonville, IL; great grandchildren, Dakota, Blake, Taylor, Brody, Carter, Evan, and Jax; great-great grandchildren, Liliana and Nova, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jerry Joe Blackford and infant twins, Sharon Blackford, and Karen Blackford.

A funeral service will be held for Deloris at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one hour before service time at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park in rural Claremont, IL.
