Cynthia Lee Pennington

Cindy Pennington, 69, of Olney, IL, passed away May 21, 2025 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL.

Cindy was born June 14, 1955 in Oblong, IL to parents, George Rich and Eva (Murray) Rich.

Cindy enjoyed shopping for clothes and home goods. She took pleasure in going to the thrift shops and finding good deals. Cindy also enjoyed giving away the items she had bought.

Her other hobbies included going fishing and going to the Senior Center for bingo.

Cindy loved spending time with her family and calling family members on the phone.

Cindy is survived by sisters, Julie Clark and husband Roy of Willow Hill, Bonnie Phillips of Olney, Sharon King of Newton, and Linda Fleming of Newton, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Pennington; brothers, John Rich and Bob Rich; and sister, Janet Dallmier.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Services will be held at a later date.
