Clarence L. Berger

Clarence L. Berger, 88, of Olney, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at his residence.

Clarence was born May 6, 1936 in Olney, the son of Ed and Jessie (Jenner) Berger. He married Patsy Lee Anderson on February 25, 1956. Patsy preceded him in death on December 2, 2013.

Clarence enjoyed life and was always a very positive person. He left a lasting impression on everyone he ever met. Clarence worked at Prairie Farms for 41 and a half years and performed construction on the side. In his retirement he enjoyed farming alongside his son, Michael. Clarence was an avid blood donor and took pleasure in going for long walks in the country. He loved to travel but he especially enjoyed his grandkids and great grandkids.

Clarence L. Berger is survived by his Son, Michael Berger and wife Samantha of Olney; Daughter, Cindy Eckel and husband James of Olney; Grandkids, Calen Eckel, Barak Berger, Quaid Berger, and Aleine Berger; Great Granddaughter, Dixie Eckel and Autumn Eckel; siblings, Wayne (Judy) Berger, Ruth Troyer, and Carolyn (Loren) Gallion; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and six siblings.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

Interment will follow the service at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney.
