Cheryl Jean (Atwood) Allison, 64, of Olney, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 in Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.


Cheryl was born February 29, 1960 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Lowell and Ina Pearl (Wilson) Atwood. She married John Allison on September 16, 1978 in Olney, and he survives.


Cheryl had a big heart and enjoyed taking care of her family. She also took pleasure in reading novels in her free time.


Cheryl is survived by her husband John Allison of Olney; son, Mathew Allison of Olney; daughter, Jamie Allison of Olney; mother, Ina Atwood of Olney; grandchildren, Jasmine (Tyler) Turner, Bryce Conner, Tegan Allison, and Gavin Stevens; great grandson, Tate Kerschner; sisters, Deb Millman of Olney, and Connie Hawkins of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.


She is preceded in death by her father, Lowell Atwood and brother, Steven Atwood.


A visitation will be held for friends and family on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.


A graveside service will be held for Cheryl at 10:00 AM the following morning at Greenhill Cemetery in rural Noble, Illinois.


Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
