Betty Joan Poland

Betty Poland, age 73, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 in Olney, IL.

Betty was born in Lawrence Co, IL to Roy Cook and Mildred Cook. Betty married Johnnie Poland on October 27, 1973, he precedes her in death.

Betty was retired from Pacific Cycle and was a member of the Olney Eagles. She loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, going fishing, and watching Western movies. Betty loved being outside in her garden and growing any type of flower.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Dana Seessengood and fiancee, Jeremy Ginder of Olney;

grandchildren, Rachel Seessengood and Holden Ginder of Olney, Kyle and Jacob Poland of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Roy Cook of Bridgeport, IL, Robert Cook of St. Francisville, IL, and Clark Cook of Bridegeport, IL; sister, Sheila Hoh of Delaware, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Poland; parents, Roy Z Cook and Mildred L. (Earnst) Cook; brothers, Kenneth Cook and Roger Cook; step-son, John Poland; and brother-in-laws, Dewey Poland, Ronnie Poland, and Lonnie Poland; sister-in-laws, Buelah Paddick, Dorothy Clark, and Mary Randall.

Graveside Services for Betty Poland will be private family and will be held at a later date.
