Anthony "Tony" Beard

Anthony "Tony" Beard, 60, of Olney, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Tony was born October 7, 1964 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Jerry Mathis and Juanita (Hines) Mitchell.

Tony loved playing basketball and loved watching sports. He liked to look nice, especially when it came to his shoes. Tony was a big jokester and always had a good sense of humor about things. He loved to cook, especially on the grill. He especially loved his kids and grandkids. Tony will be dearly missed by many friends and family.

Tony is survived by his fiancée, Krystal Haney; daughter, Sabrina (Deandre) Jones; stepchildren, Dillion (Ariana) Haney and Karlee Haney; grandchildren, Zyierre Blu and Zauria Frieson; step grandchildren, Luka and Xander Haney; siblings, Rosmary Rawls, Deloris Wright, Juan Mitchell, and Julian Beard, and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Tony Jr.
