Allen Lynn Vaughn

Allen Lynn Vaughn, 69, of Olney, IL, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Richland Nursing and Rehab.

Allen was born July 2, 1955 in Tuscola, IL, the son of Wanda (Vaughn) Higgins.

Allen worked at IGA for many years until he retired. He liked to fish and to do yardwork. Allen was also a big wrestling fan, and attended live shows, including the weekly IWAU show in Noble. He enjoyed joking around and laughing with people. He also loved spending time with his friends and family and going to church. He attended the Christian Church of Olney every Sunday until he was no longer able.

Allen is survived by his fiancée, Mary Ann Lane of Olney; son, Robert (Haley) Vaughn; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; cousins, Cecil (Deb) Vaughn, Wayne Vaughn, Gail (Rick Drummond) Vaughn, and Sue (Carl) Wyatt and his uncle, Mike Vaughn.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Juanita and Glen Vaughn, his mother, cousin, Sandy McCormick, and his aunt and uncle, Doris and Jimmie Vaughn.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.

Cremation Rites will be accorded, and a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Camargo Cemetery in Camargo, IL.
