Obituary for Carolyn A. Marrs

Carolyn A. Marrs, 69, of Olney, passed away on December 9, 2018 at her residence in Olney.  Carolyn was born July 14, 1949 in Olney, IL to parents Leo Edward and Lavinia (Hedrick) Galbreath. She married Steve Marrs on April 15, 1981 at Elm Street Christian Church and he survives.

Marie followed by a tenure as a regular education principal in Clay City and completed her career as a principal of a building for students with behavior disabilities in the Du Quoin area.

She was a dedicated teacher as well as mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren traveling with them to camp grounds all around the state as well as in their home.  Camping was an important hobby to Carolyn and Steve and they enjoyed their time with their pets and often traveled with them. She was an avid reader and spent a lot of time with her nose in a book.  Shopping for unique gifts and sentimental keepsakes was also a hobby that Carolyn enjoyed.
